Hall Grove is a friendly and inclusive community where all the children feel cared for and valued. There is a distinctive family atmosphere and children of all ages mix happily together.
Hall Grove is a thriving co-educational school for 4-13 year olds. Weekly/Flexi boarding is offered for up to 12 pupils. The main entry ages are 4, 7 and 11.
The school was founded in 1957 by the parents of the current headmaster. At the centre is a most attractive Georgian house set in beautiful gardens and parkland. Recent additions have provided some modern rooms and specialist teaching areas, an impressive computer facility and new classroom blocks. Despite this building programme, the character and atmosphere of a family home has been retained.
The academic standards are high and there is a very strong emphasis on sport and music. A wide range of activities flourish including woodwork, drama, and a host of major and minor sports including soccer, rugby, hockey, netball, rounders, cricket, tennis, athletics, swimming, golf, judo, basketball, badminton and dance.
Riding and stable management is an added attraction with the opening of Pony Grove in the school grounds in 2006. The school golf course has recently been extended to nine holes and is used for regular coaching and competitions.
The school day continues until 5:40pm for Years 7 and 8 and older children may stay overnight on a regular basis. There is also provision for after-school care and a full programme of evening activities.
