The Admissions Process

A Visit

We would recommend that you come and visit Hall Grove to see our vibrant, lively and caring community at work. Mr Graham, the Headmaster, would be very pleased to show you around the school.

Registration

If you decide that Hall Grove is right for your child or children, then the next stage would be registration. A registration form is given to you by the Headmaster during your visit to Hall Grove and this should be returned to the School Office with the £50 non-refundable registration fee.

Confirmation

On receipt of you registration form and registration fee you will receive written confirmation that your child is on our list for admission for the appropriate year of entry. Early registration is advised to avoid disappointment!

Entry to Reception

For entry to Reception, someone will contact the Nursery School your child is attending to ask for a verbal report on your child’s progress. Following this report, you will receive written confirmation if a place is to be offered. At this point you will be asked to complete an Entry Acceptance Form which should be returned to the School, together with the deposit which is currently £300.

Entry to Year 1 & Above

For entry to Year 1 and above, your child will be invited for assessment during the Spring term prior to his/her intended year of entry. Following the assessment, you will receive written confirmation if a place is to be offered. At this point you will be asked to complete an Entry Acceptance Form which should be returned to the School, together with the deposit which is currently £300.

The deposit is returned when the child leaves.

Induction Day

Once you have accepted the offer of a place there will be an Induction Day arranged during the Summer term prior to your child’s year of entry.
