Netball has been growing in popularity in England in the last few years and at Hall Grove adult netball sessions run from 1930 - 2030 on Monday evenings during term time on the floodlit astro pitch.  We are currently investigating the use of a local indoor court to enable practice sessions to continue in inclement weather through the Winter months.

We are a gathering of parents from every year group, staff and friends who enjoyed netball when we were at school and have returned to the game as we see it as a fun social way to get/keep fit. Our coach, Michelle Riddy, has been guiding and training us for the last two years and she really helps us work on our skills, spacing and understanding of the rules.  We have previously played in a friendly league and this coming season, we have been accepted into the Surrey League for the first time.  We do organise 'friendly' matches against other teams roughly twice a term and will try to do more as it is great experience.  We have also entered two teams in the Charity Cup Tournament for the last two years.

Across the country, more and more like-minded women are joining up and enjoying netball, either for the first time or by reviving a lost love for the sport.  It doesn’t matter how good you are - we would love to see any newcomers.  Any interested are invited to come along for three weeks to see if they enjoy playing, thereafter there is a charge of £20 per term (or £2 per week remaining of that term) or £50 per year. This contributes towards the coaching costs, court hiring/lighting and maintenance, equipment and umpires’ fees.
