Headmaster's Welcome

Hall Grove is a family-owned school with a family ethos at its heart.  Our school values are the foundation of everything we do.  This means that we strive to ensure Hall Grove children are: kind, respectful of others, hard-working, honest and polite.

We encourage children to ‘have a go’ and challenge themselves, and explore the full curriculum to find out the things they love in life, and what they can achieve.  We have exceptional staff to reassure those who find some areas more difficult, whilst ensuring those who need to be stretched have the chance to climb higher.  We want to maximise the potential of every child.

Our record of success is high and every year our children achieve academic and co-curricular scholarships to many of the best schools in the country.  We triumph on the sporting field at a national level.  Every child takes part in dance, drama, design technology, art and music.  We regard these experiences as some of the core ingredients for achievement and happiness.

We use our grounds extensively.  The sporting fields, forest school, lake activities, farm animal husbandry, and our walled garden where our children can grow, harvest and eat their own fruit and vegetables, all provide children with fabulous opportunities to create life-long memories.

Finally, our very own Battisborough House on the South Devon coast where Hall Grove children take part in expeditions and field trips.

Our motto is: “Do your duty, come what may”.  I believe this ensures that Hall Grove children leave our school ready to go forward with confidence into their next stage of education.  Come and see what we have to offer, a warm welcome awaits.
