Hall Grove School Council

The Hall Grove School Council aims to provide a voice for the pupils in the running of the school, to help  improve communication between teachers and pupils, to highlight issues of concern, to help solve problems or difficulties and to discuss charity fundraising.

Middle and Upper School classes elect their representatives from the respective year group and Pre-Prep teachers help their own classes to decide on the best candidate for the role. At regular times during the term, forms are asked to raise any issues and make suggestions which, via their representatives, can be brought to the School Council for discussion. The Council is made up of representatives from Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 plus one or two members of staff to help keep things on track. The pupils are encouraged to run the meeting themselves, electing a 'chair' and 'minute taker' as appropriate. Certain Council members are then asked to meet with the Deputy Head or Headmaster for further discussions as necessary. Feedback to the School is given during one of the School assemblies.
